Getting started
- Suppliers: add each company you buy from, with its order email, lead time (days from order to delivery) and currency.
- Products: search your catalogue, pick the supplier for each product and fill in the supplier SKU, unit cost, minimum order and case pack.
- Reorder: Cratebird groups what needs ordering by supplier. Adjust any quantity, then Create draft PO.
- Purchase orders: edit the draft, then send it (opens your email app with the order and a PDF link), download the PDF or export CSV.
- Receive: when stock arrives, enter what came in. Cratebird adds it to Available in Shopify at the delivery location.
How suggestions are calculated
Velocity = units sold in the last 30, 60 or 90 days ÷ days. Reorder point = (lead time + safety stock days) × velocity. Suggested order = (lead time + safety stock + order cycle) × velocity − available − on order, rounded up to the case pack and at least the minimum order. A single wholesale order that is at least half of the window's sales is left out, so one big order doesn't become a standing reorder. Cancelled, refunded and test orders are not counted. Every number is set in Settings.
Order history
On install, Cratebird reads the last 60 days of orders (what Shopify allows apps by default) and adds new orders every day, so the 90-day window fills on its own. Only product IDs and quantities are read, never customer details.
Locations
Free and Pro use your primary location. Plus shows low stock at every location and lets a purchase order be delivered to and received at any location.
Daily digest
Every day Cratebird lists what to reorder, what is low and which purchase orders are late, on the Home page.
Uninstalling
Uninstall from Shopify admin → Settings → Apps. Your data is deleted as described in the privacy policy.
